Spanish Voices
In 1994, Fotokids received a European Union grant for Spanish Voices, a three year program that brought children together from diverse backgrounds, including Polisario refugees in Western Sahara, Bangladeshi students from East London, and those from a small village in Spain. Together, via the internet we explored what the children felt should be their rights and then the UN Rights of the Child.

Children from Guatemala were able to meet with their colleagues in Spain and twice in London. Spanish Voices culminated in a TV series shown on the BBC and a board game designed by the children, based on the rights of the child and free trade. The game Loco Coco was manufactured for use along with a learning program, to fulfill educational requirements in the U.K. school system
