Juan began studying with Fotokids at age 11; and since 2020, he has mentored beginner students in photography. Juan pursued a degree in Communications and Journalism, expanding his skills as a documentary photographer. He has participated in workshops with national and international professionals, specializing in food styling, HDR, studio lighting, and portrait techniques. His work has been exhibited in Guatemala and internationally, including at the Bronx Documentary Center’s Latin American Photography Festival, and covered in The New York Times and The Guardian. Committed to inspiring youth through visual storytelling, Juan aims to grow professionally while empowering others in his community.
